京都発の新生エフェクターブランド、&K.Laboratoryから踏んでいることを忘れるほどナチュラルなブースターペダルが登場しました。&KBoosterは音量レベルだけを持ち上げるクリーンブースターと通常のブースター、両方の特性を持っているありそうでなかったペダルです。
本機にはブースト量を調整するGain、全体の音量レベルを調整するVolume、低音域を調整するBass、高音域を調整するTrebleといったコントロールを備えています。これらのコントロールを駆使することで、様々なトーンのサウンドを作り出すことができます。
クリーンブースターとして使いたい場合はGainを0に、Volumeを2時方向に、そしてBassとTrebleを12時方向にセットすると、バイパス音と聴覚上同じサウンドになります。これにより、楽器が持つトーンをそのままに、音量レベルだけをブーストすることができます。1台でタイプの異なるブースターを使えるのが本機の魅力と言えるでしょう。
「踏んでいることを忘れるサウンド」という謳い文句のように、アンプからの出音は限りなくナチュラルです。ブースターはもちろん、高品位なバッファーとして使うこともできます。国産ハンドメイドペダルらしい、シンプルながらも完成度の高い1台です。
